The noodles have the same pea protein chalkiness that shows up across the Immi range. If you’ve had the Immi Creamy Chicken or the Immi Spicy Red Miso you know what to expect. The texture is a trade-off that comes with the high protein format. It’s not for everyone.
This one wasn’t my jam. I can appreciate what Immi is trying to do and the nutritional profile is impressive, but the flavor doesn’t quite get me there. That said there’s clearly an audience for a product that prioritizes health credentials without compromising too much on the ramen format.
How Does It Compare
Within the Immi lineup on the site, the Black Garlic Chicken is the mildest on flavor. The Creamy Chicken and Spicy Red Miso both have stronger flavor identities. The noodle texture issue is consistent across all three. If you’re choosing an Immi flavor for the first time, the Spicy Red Miso gives you the most to work with in terms of flavor complexity.

How to Level Up Immi Black Garlic Chicken Ramen
Kimchi would add the tang and spice the mild broth needs and it would pair well with the black garlic. Add some grilled chicken for more protein, broccoli for crunch, and sliced deli meat for a quick salty addition.
Final Verdict
The Immi Black Garlic Chicken Ramen earns its place as a health-focused instant ramen for people who prioritize nutrition over bold flavor. The protein is there and the black garlic concept is interesting even if the execution is mild. It wasn’t my personal favorite in the Immi lineup but I can appreciate what it’s doing. Add kimchi, grilled chicken, and some broccoli and it could become a solid high protein meal.
