You know how sometimes you’re craving that fiery kick of Buldak, but you also want something a little more comforting and creamy? This recipe is it. We’re taking those spicy noodles and loading them up with imitation crab, melted cheese, and a crunch of fried garlic. It might sound like a lot, but it’s a delicious combo that’s easy to make.

Ingredients

- 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen: The spicy noodle base for our spicy adventure!
- Chopped onion: Adds a touch of sweetness and texture.
- Imitation crab: Gives us a slightly sweet and savory protein bite. You can get either the “leg style” or “flakes”. Either way I just cut them into cubes anyway.
- Milk: Creates a creamy and richer sauce.
- Shredded cheddar cheese: Helps mellow out the spice and add a cheesy pull.
- Fried garlic: Adds a crunchy texture and intense garlic flavor.
- Green onion: The perfect garnish for a mild oniony bite and pop of color. (how to prepare).
How to Make This Recipe

- Boil the 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen noodles for 3.5 minutes (instead of the full 5 listed on the package directions). Reserve the sauce and flake packets for later.
- While the noodles are cooking, chop your onion and imitation crab (or you can do this ahead of time before any cooking).
- Once the noodles are done, drain them.

- Return the drained noodles to the stove in the same pot on medium heat. Add the chopped onion. Stir and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the chopped imitation crab and the sauce packet from the 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen. Stir everything together thoroughly and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

- Pour in milk (whole, half-and-half, or even heavy cream will work, depending on how creamy you like it). Stir to combine.

- Add in shredded cheddar cheese, or your preferred cheese, to the noodles and sauce. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Transfer the creamy, cheesy Buldak and crab to a serving bowl.

- Garnish with a sprinkle of more shredded cheese, fried garlic, chopped green onions, and flake packet. Serve immediately and enjoy this flavorful ramen!
Plating

Arrange the creamy, cheesy noodles with the imitation crab in a bowl. Make sure the fried garlic and green onions are sprinkled attractively on top, with a final dusting of shredded cheese if desired.

For a fun presentation and extra flavor, you can also serve a portion of the noodles and toppings wrapped in a sheet of seaweed. I highly recommend trying this option with this Creamy Cheesy Buldak with Imitation Crab!

My Pro Tip
Recipe Tip
Don’t overcook the noodles initially, as they will continue to soften in the creamy sauce.
Yes! Feel free to experiment with other cheeses like mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a spicy cheese blend.
Yes, if you prefer fresh crab, that would be a delicious upgrade. Adjust the amount to your liking.
The spiciness comes from the Buldak sauce packet. Use the entire packet for the full kick, or use only a portion for less spice. You can also add extra chili flakes or hot sauce if you want it even spicier.
Yes, quick-cooking vegetables like corn, peas, or chopped bell peppers would be great additions.
