Creamy Cheesy Buldak with Imitation Crab

Spicy Buldak gets a creamy, cheesy seafood upgrade with imitation crab and fried garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Samyang 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen or regular flavor
  • 20 g yellow onion chopped
  • 85 g imitation crab chopped
  • ½ cup milk
  • 35 g cheddar cheese shredded (save a sprinkle for garnish)
  • 1 tsp fried garlic
  • green onion sliced, to garnish

Instructions

  • Boil the 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen noodles for 3.5 minutes (instead of the full 5 listed on the package directions). Reserve the sauce and flake packets for later.
  • While the noodles are cooking, chop your onion and imitation crab. Or you can do this as prep before any cooking.
  • Drain the noodles when they're done cooking.
  • Return the drained noodles to the stove in the same pot on medium heat. Add the chopped onion. Stir and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add the chopped imitation crab and the sauce packet from the 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen. Stir everything together thoroughly and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Pour in ½ cup of milk (whole, half-and-half, or even heavy cream will work, depending on how creamy you like it). Stir to combine.
  • Add about 35 grams (or a generous handful) of shredded cheddar cheese, or your preferred cheese, to the noodles and sauce. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Transfer the creamy, cheesy Buldak and crab to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of more shredded cheese, fried garlic, chopped green onions, and the flake packet. Serve immediately and enjoy this flavorful ramen!
