Samyang Buldak Rosé Hot Chicken is the creamy tomato entry in the Buldak lineup. The sweetness hits immediately and it’s more than I expected. I’ve tried the glass noodle version of this same flavor before but I prefer these wheat noodles. They hold the thick sauce better and have the classic fried noodle texture that works with a sauce this rich.
Produced in South Korea.

What’s in the Package
Inside the packaging, you’ll find a square block of thick wheat noodles and two sachets. The red sachet contains the Rosé Buldak liquid sauce, and the pink sachet contains the Rose powder.

How to cook Samyang Buldak Rosé Hot Chicken Ramen Noodles
Cooking directions per package instructions:
- Boil 2 1/2 cups (20 oz) of water. Add the noodles and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remain 1/2 cup (4 oz) of water and drain the rest. Add the sauce and powder.
- My recommendation: Stir-fry until liquid has evaporated to your preference.
- Stir well and serve.
How Does It Taste
Rich, milk-forward, and sweeter than most of the Buldak lineup. The cheddar and parmesan notes come through in the sauce alongside the cream and by the last few bites the richness is a lot. It builds over the bowl in a way that makes you want something acidic alongside it.
The spice caught me off guard. I thought it was a 3 out of 5. The creaminess had me expecting less heat. James gave it a 4 out of 5 and since he’s the official spice rater we’re going with that. The milk powder does not tame the Buldak heat the way you might think it would. It sits alongside it instead.
The noodles are wavy Buldak at a 2 out of 5 on thickness. My cooking recommendation is the same as the Carbonara. Just stir-fry briefly after adding the powder and sauce and let the liquid evaporate to your preference.
How Does It Compare
Within the Buldak lineup the Rosé is the most dessert-adjacent entry. The Carbonara is sweet but pulls back with the cheese. The Rose leans fully into the cream with a higher spice underneath. The Quattro Cheese has more savory depth. If sweetness and cream are what you want from a Buldak bowl this is the one. If that sounds like too much the Carbonara is the more balanced option.

How to Level Up Samyang Buldak Rosé Hot Chicken Ramen Noodles
Salty and acidic additions are what this bowl needs. Sliced hot dogs or Spam add salt that cuts through the richness. A splash of vinegar introduces an acidity that rebalances the sweet cream. Fresh cilantro on top adds brightness. All three together turn this into a complete bowl.
Final Verdict
Sweet, rich, spicier than it looks, and best eaten with something salty and acidic alongside it. The milk-forward profile is polarizing. You’ll either love it or find it too much by the end. Stir-fry it after adding the sauce.
