Immi has built their brand around making instant ramen that’s nutritious from being high protein and plant-based. The Creamy Chicken is one of their core flavors and it leads with the same health-forward claims as the rest of the lineup. I went in with an open mind.
Produced in China. Packed in United States.

What’s in the Package
Inside the Immi pack, youโll find a square dried noodle block. Alongside the noodles is a single pink sachet labeled “Spice Up Your Life,” which contains the soup base.

How to Prepare It
- Bring 1.5 to 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.
- Add the noodle block and boil for 7 to 9 minutes.
- If you like a softer noodle, go the full 9 minutes. These have a lot of “bite,” so they need the extra time to lose that slightly rubbery texture.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the seasoning packet.
- Let it sit for 1 minute after stirring to let the broth thicken.

How Does It Taste
The smell when you open the package is the first thing you notice and it’s distinct enough to stop you for a moment. It’s not unpleasant but it’s not a conventional instant ramen smell either. I couldn’t quite identify what it reminded me of and I still can’t pin it down precisely.
The broth is mild and leans toward a subtle oatmeal-like flavor that was unexpected. I didn’t really taste creamy chicken. What comes through here is softer and more muted. It was closer to a gentle, clean grain note than an assertive chicken broth. For me it wasn’t quite hitting what I was looking for.
The noodles have a slightly waxy feel that sets them apart from a standard wheat noodle. It’s the pea protein doing what pea protein does. If you’ve tried the Immi Black Garlic Chicken or Immi Spicy Red Miso the texture will be familiar. It’s consistent across the brand.
This one wasn’t my jam. I can appreciate Immi trying something different with the instant ramen format and the nutrition credentials are real. But the flavor didn’t land for me personally.
How Does It Compare
Within the Immi lineup on the site the Creamy Chicken is the mildest and most unusual in terms of flavor character. The Spicy Red Miso has more going on flavor-wise and gives you more to work with. The Black Garlic Chicken is also mild but has a more recognizable flavor direction. If you’re new to Immi the Spicy Red Miso is the better starting point. The Creamy Chicken is for someone who specifically wants a very light, clean, low-flavor-impact bowl with the nutritional profile.

How to Level Up Immi Creamy Chicken Ramen Soup
Canned corn or baby corn are good here since the sweetness pairs naturally with the creamy chicken direction and adds some texture the bowl is missing. Pickled ginger is an unexpected one but it works. Dill pickles do a similar thing if you want something more pronounced. A soft boiled egg rounds everything out.
Final Verdict
It wasn’t my favorite but I get what it’s going for.
