Thai Delight Pad Thai Noodles hits you with peanuts and canned corn the second you open it. Specifically canned baby corn. It has that very particular sweet preserved smell that’s nostalgic in a specific way if you grew up eating it.

Produced in Thailand.

What’s in the Package

Inside the packaging, youโ€™ll find a vacuum-sealed transparent pouch of pre-cooked “fresh” rice noodles and a large silver pouch containing the Pad Thai sauce with small bits of vegetables and seasoning.

How to Cook Thai Delight Pad Thai

  1. Open the noodle pouch and place the noodles into a bowl. Use a fork to gently loosen them.
  2. Empty the contents of the silver sauce pouch over the noodles.
  3. Cover the bowl loosely and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir thoroughly to ensure the noodles are fully coated in the sauce. Let it sit for 1 minute to allow the noodles to absorb the flavors.

How Does It Taste

The sourness is the main flavor note and it leans artificial on the lime side. What I wanted was a touch more sweetness to balance it out. Pad Thai has that balance between sour, sweet, salty and savory and this one tilts too far toward sour without enough to pull it back.

The canned corn and canned mushroom flavors are prominent and preserved-tasting in a way that’s hard to separate from the overall profile. The peanut smell is more present than the peanut taste.

The noodles are shelf-stable fresh style at a 2 out of 5 on thickness. One important note: they’re fragile. Stir carefully and find the right balance or they’ll break up on you.

How Does It Compare

The most direct comparisons on the site are the Fusia Pad Thai Ramen Noodles and Watcharee’s Thai Peanut Noodles. All three are going for a similar Thai peanut and tamarind profile in an instant format. If you want to do a proper Pad Thai instant noodle comparison all three Thai options are worth trying side by side.

How to Level Up Thai Delight Pad Thai Noodles

Crushed peanuts on top deliver what the peanut smell is promising but the taste isn’t fully providing. A fried egg adds richness. Beansprouts for crunch. Sambal for the heat this bowl is completely missing. Sliced deli turkey is the protein addition that works without overcomplicating the format.

Final Verdict

A Pad Thai instant noodle that gets the smell right but struggles with flavor balance. The artificial lime sourness dominates and the sweetness needed to balance it isn’t there. Add crushed peanuts, a fried egg, and sambal and it gets closer to what it’s going for.
