Lucky Me is a brand I know well through my friend Jeanelle. She’s the one who introduced me to Pancit Canton and we’ve cooked with it together. The last time I saw her we made spam musubi using instant ramen. Out of all the Lucky Me Pancit Canton flavors I’ve tried, I have to say the Chilimansi is my favorite.
Produced in the Philippines.

Whatโs in the Package
Inside is a small, rectangular block of wavy noodles, a silver sachet of seasoning powder, and a dual-chamber liquid packet containing soy sauce and a citrusy, seasoned oil. The oil sachet often has “salt crystals” or solidified fat due to temperature changes, so give it a quick massage between your fingers before opening to smooth it out.

How to Prepare Lucky Me Pancit Canton Chilimansi
- Cook the noodles in a pot of boiling water (about 2 cups or 500ml) for 3 minutes.
- While the noodles are boiling, empty the contents of the seasoning, soy sauce, and oil sachets onto a plate and mix them together to form a paste.
- Drain the noodles thoroughly, then transfer them to the plate with the prepared sauce. Mix well until the noodles are evenly coated, and enjoy hot.
How Does It Taste
We immediately taste the lime first. It’s refreshing in a way that you don’t really get from other instant ramens. Underneath the lime, there’s a sweet soy base that carries everything forward.
Citrus and soy is a combination that shows up a lot in Filipino cooking and it works out really well here. The spice is a 1 out of 5. It’s there but it’s mild. James and I both felt like it could use more โ the chili part of Chilimansi is a little underpromised. The lime is doing most of the work while the heat just kind of hovers in the background. That’s really the only thing I’d change about this bowl.
The noodles are thin and wavy at a 1 out of 5 on thickness. Light and easy to eat.
How Does It Compare
Within the Lucky Me Pancit Canton lineup, the Hot Chili has more heat but less character. If you’re trying Pancit Canton for the first time start with this one.

How to Level Up
Add a spoonful of sambal stirred through the finished noodles. Top with seared sausage and a squeeze of fresh lime on top right before serving amplifies everything that’s already working.
Final Verdict
The Lucky Me Pancit Canton Chilimansi is my favorite in the lineup. The lime is the whole reason since it’s bright and refreshing.

As a Filipino I grew up eating pancit canton. I do agree that I prefer the calamansi flavored one, it adds another level of acidity that brightens it up a bit. I love adding ramen to mine and even pork.
My childhood favourite! But I prefer spicier iterations of Pancit Canton.
As a Filipino, Pancit Canton’s always been a staple in our household for any day to be honest! From days when the rain wouldn’t stop to the hot afternoon days, the limey, savory and chewy noodles fill me up and reminds me so much of warmer days. One was never enough for us, yet two was too much, so find someone to share with if you plan on having this!
I’ve been buying this for YEARS and it’s one of my favorite instant ramen. It’s dry (no soup) and tastes savory, slightly sweet, and tangy from the calamansi flavor. I remember having to cook two packets for my brother when we were still in school, but one packet with 2 eggs is good enough for me.
