The Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Japanese Miso is part of Nissin’s premium Ramen Bistro line. It’s a step up from the classic “styrofoam cup” experience.
Produced in the United States.

What’s in the Package
Wheat flour chili-infused noodles, miso seasoning, and a mix of dried vegetables (cabbage and corn). Everything is pre-mixed, so there are no extra packets to open. The cup design is insulated and made specifically for the microwave.
How to Prepare It
- Remove the lid completely.
- Add room temperature water to the inside fill line (about 1.25 cups / 300ml).
- Place the cup in the center of the microwave. Cook on HIGH for 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
- Let it stand for 3 minutes.
- Give it a good mix before eating.

How Does It Taste
The smell when you first open it has a nice roasted quality that fades pretty quickly once the cup settles. The flavor is mostly powdered soy sauce with sesame oil, garlic, and a hint of ginger underneath. The miso is there but the soy is doing most of the work.
There’s technically supposed to be some broth in this cup but the microwave process evaporates most of it. So what you end up with is closer to a saucy noodle than a soup.
The most interesting thing about this bowl is actually the noodles. The chili is baked directly into the flour rather than coming from a separate packet which means the heat builds slowly as you chew instead of hitting you right away. It’s a more subtle and more interesting way to deliver spice than most instant noodles bother with.
One thing that matters a lot here: mix it really well before you eat it. The flavor sinks to the bottom and the bowl tastes significantly better once everything is distributed evenly. Don’t skip that step.

How to Level Up Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Japanese Miso
Raw cabbage is what I’d add first since the crunch and sweetness cut through the soy powder. Crack a raw egg directly into the cup before you microwave it. It cooks right along with everything else and when you stir it through the finished noodles it makes the whole thing silkier and richer.
And if the slow burn from the chili noodles isn’t enough for you, a drizzle of chili oil on top is the easy fix.
Final Verdict
The chili-infused noodle concept is cool and worth trying for that alone. But the soy powder base is bland and the broth mostly evaporates in the microwave so you’re left with a saucy noodle that needs help.
