Out of every Buldak flavor I’ve tried the Corn is my least favorite. I’ll say that upfront. If you love sweet noodles this might be for you. It’s not for me.

What’s in the Package
Inside the packaging, youโll find a round block of fried wheat noodles and two sachets. The red sachet contains the signature Buldak spicy liquid sauce, and the green-and-white sachet contains the Corn seasoning powder.

How to Cook Samyang Buldak Corn
- Bring 600ml (about 2.5 cups) of water to a boil.
- Add the noodle block and boil for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and drain the water, leaving about 8 tablespoons (50ml) in the pot.
- Add the liquid sauce sachet and the corn powder.
- Stir well over low heat for 30 seconds. And serve.
How Does It Taste
The artificial corn sweetness hits immediately and it doesn’t step back. It’s overwhelming in a way that even the Buldak heat can’t cut through. The spice is still a 3 out of 5. It’s there, but the sweetness is so dominant that it becomes hard to taste much else. The corn flavor itself is artificial rather than anything resembling real corn.
The noodles are the standard Buldak format. They’re chewy, sturdy, sauce-holding. That part is consistent across the lineup and it’s consistently good. It’s just working against a flavor that I don’t enjoy.
How Does It Compare
Within the Buldak lineup the Corn and the Samyang Buldak Swicy Sweet Spicy Ramen are the two sweetest varieties we’ve reviewed. The Swicy is actually the sweetest of the two but the heat works harder to balance it.
The Corn has an artificial corn sweetness that nothing in the bowl cuts through. The Samyang Buldak Carbonara is sweet too but the cheese keeps it in check. If sweetness is your thing the Swicy is the better executed version of this direction.

How to Level Up Samyang Buldak Corn Spicy Chicken Stir-Fried Ramen
Shredded cheese adds a salty cheesy counterpoint that helps bring the sweetness back into balance. Canned corn adds real corn flavor alongside the artificial version. Both together make the bowl more interesting.
Final Verdict
My least favorite in the Buldak lineup. The artificial corn sweetness is too much for me and the heat isn’t enough to balance it. If sweet noodles are your thing you’ll probably love it. If you’re expecting the classic Buldak balance this one goes in a different direction.
