What’s in the Package
Everything is already inside the cup. The noodles are in the cup itself along with the seasoning and dried vegetables including carrots, corn, green onion, red bell pepper, and peas. No separate packets.

How to Prepare It
Fold the lid back halfway. Fill the cup with boiling water up to the inside fill line. Close the lid and let it stand for 5 minutes. Stir well and enjoy. One thing I’d recommend from experience: fill the water about 1cm above the fill line. This cup runs very salty and the extra water helps significantly.

How Does It Taste
When I opened the lid the first thing I noticed was the garlic. James and I both assumed it was onion powder at first but it’s definitely garlic once you taste it. The flavor is a salty chicken broth with real dried vegetables throughout. I could pick out the carrots, corn, and bell peppers and they were a nice addition.
The broth has a subtle creaminess that I wasn’t expecting. It likely comes from the yeast extracts in the seasoning, and it gives the broth a little more body than a standard instant cup.
The one thing worth knowing going in is the salt level. This cup is salty enough that I’d recommend filling the water about 1cm above the fill line. That small adjustment brings everything into better balance and makes the flavor more enjoyable.
The noodles are the trade-off you make with any high protein pea protein noodle. There’s a slight chalkiness to the texture that comes with the territory. It’s not a dealbreaker but it’s noticeable if you’re used to standard wheat noodles. That said, out of all the high-protein ramens I’ve tried, these have the best texture in that category.

How Does It Compare
The most natural comparison is the Chef’s Cupboard Chicken Flavored Ramen from Aldi, which also comes in at 20g protein. I prefer the Chef Woo slightly. The flavor is more developed and the noodle texture edges it out.
I’ve also tried the Immi Creamy Chicken Ramen Soup, which is another high protein plant-based option in the same lane. The noodle texture issue shows up there too, and I found the broth less appealing. Chef Woo holds up better on both counts. If you’re shopping specifically in the high protein plant-based ramen category, this is the one I’d reach for first.
How to Level It Up
The saltiness and the chalky noodle texture both point in the same direction. You need toppings that are bland and rich to balance the bowl out. A soft boiled egg or quail eggs add richness without competing with the existing flavor.
If you want to lean into the protein angle this cup is already going for, shredded rotisserie chicken on top makes it a substantial meal. It also reinforces the chicken flavor in a way the seasoning alone can’t.

Final Verdict
Go above the fill line on the water and add a rich topping and it becomes more than acceptable. Honestly this is one I keep stocked in my pantry. The protein count is hard to beat for an instant noodle and it responds well to whatever you add to it. A soft boiled egg or some shredded rotisserie chicken and you have a genuinely solid high protein meal in five minutes.
