The packaging for this instant ramen looks similar to Nongshim’s regular shin Ramyun noodles except these have flames on them along with the distinct “RED” word on it.
Produced in South Korea.

It comes with dried imitation beef, carrots, and mushrooms. The flavor profile is both salty and spicy, but in a balanced way. It has the same umami richness of the regular shin ramyun noodles, but I would say the spice is almost doubled. The spice is perfect for me. Enough to clear out your sinuses.

To cut the saltiness just a bit, I would add some more water during preparation. For toppings, adding an egg while cooking it would be perfect. Some sliced beef would also be a good choice for extra protein, and I would definitely include some onions and kimchi.

For the spice level, my friend James, who taste tests the ramens with me, gives his rating out of 5 based on his experience with the heat. My own spice tolerance tends to be higher than most, so James’s rating gives a more general sense of the spiciness. Keep in mind that spice is still subjective, so what’s mild for him might be spicy for you, and vice versa!
That’s how thick or thin the broth is. A 1/5 would be very watery, while a 5/5 would be super thick and almost syrupy.
This is just a general gauge of how thick the noodles are compared to other instant ramen noodles I’ve tried. A 1/5 would be very thin, like vermicelli, and a 5/5 would be very thick and wide.
Here, I’m just describing the style or texture of the noodles, like “udon-like” for a chewy and thick noodle, or “thin and curly” for a more classic instant ramen style.

Taste is quite red pepper forwards and fades slowly after eating.
Unlike some other hotter ramens, this one doesnt build over time so I found easier to eat than say Samyang Buldak 2x
I just got home from Xmas away with family and had some random bits to use up. I had the ramen pack with a runner/green bean omlette I chopped up after cooking (see second pic).
Noodles seemed quite standard, on the soft side without breaking while cooking or eating.
Not much flavour profile other than the spice.
Overall I think there are better spicey ramens
